Since 2019, through the restoration of riverside wetlands in Hualien County, Slash Living Culture has been developing long-fiber material applications and innovative green energy solutions, laying the foundation for a nature-based solution centered on the blue carbon in wetlands, rivers, and common reeds.

In Taiwan, riverbanks often dry up during the dry season. Slash Living Culture has been collaborating with the
Ninth River Management Office of the Water Resources Agency on the "Dust Suppression Plan for the Riverbank
of the Yuli Section of the Xiuguluan River" by using reeds as a solution to restore the plant communities of
riverbanks.

Slash Living Culture plans to complete the "Reed Wetland Methodology" by 2025. By promoting corporate
pre-purchase adoption programs, the area of reed planting is expected to expand to over 150 hectares by 2025, surpassing the Council of Agriculture's target of adding 10 hectares by 2050 by 25 years in advance and increasing the scale by 15 times.

Each hectare of reed fields can sustain a local farmer's livelihood. Slash Lifestyle Culture also provides river tours and DIY activities, such as reed straws, reed lamps, and reed bamboo weaving, creating a circular economic system covering consumption, tourism, and support for river restoration.
